ReplyDeleteWe actually have the elves stop by the night of the 23rd to check in on the kids. When they wake up xmas eve morning, there are chocolate balls or hershey kisses on the windowsils so the kids know they came.

Favorite traditions---Christmas Eve brunch with my family, just spending time together without worrying about school/work schedules, etc.
ReplyDeleteOur elf on the shelf that arrives on Thanksgiving and stays until Christmas Eve when he rides home with Santa. He puts different treats in the Advent Calender every night. The boys love it.

Growing up, one of my favorite traditions was getting together with my mom's huge family on Christmas Eve - I had over 20 cousins so you can just imagine the chaos :) Love the PJ idea!

One of my favorite parts of Christmas is decorating the tree :)
ReplyDeleteIt's silly, but when my husband and I were first together we didn't have enough money to buy ornaments for the tiny tree my mother sent us. We lived in NYC and found a little wooden bell ornament on the street. My husband is an artist and he drew on it with a ball point pen. We also got little plastic fish for a quarter each and made those into ornaments. 15 years later, those are still our favorites to unpack and hang on our (now much bigger and better appointed) tree!
ReplyDeleteSo fun...I will have to come up with something!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Caitlin!
my favorite part of the holidays is eating all kinds of yummy snacks and drinking hot chocolate while watching christmas movies! especially the old 40s ones (of course!) c:

My favorite part of the holidays is the night before Christmas, when the kids are all in bed and all of the activities that take place before we go to bed (not getting too specific here!).
